Our half day kayak trips are a must for anyone who wants to glide through as much of the tranquil Fowey estuary as possible. There will be times when you will be paddling against the tidal flow on half day trips so these expeditions are for those with previous river kayaking experience and good fitness levels. Our half day trips cover a huge variety of stunning scenery on this mighty river. Our exact route depends on tide and wind conditions but will include navigating "Wind in the Willows" creek to Lerryn, paddling through the great tidal bowl of the mid river area and entering idyllic and unspoilt creeks on the way to Fowey or the protected wildlife rich marshlands of the upper river sections to Lostwithiel. We will stop for a break usually kayaking right into the hidden harbour village of Golant on trips to Fowey or at St Winnow on trips to Lostwithiel. Either way your guide will take you through all the interesting locations and wildlife en route as you will be canoeing over 5 miles of river and creek and should allow 4 hours for the trip.
