Deep sea fishing that includes all fishing equipment and bait. Please take plenty of warm clothing and a set of waterproofs even in the summer it is colder out at sea. Suggest try to book at begining of holiday in case we have to postpone due to weather. Aquila is a lochin 33 with a mermaid 212hp Engine that pushes us along at a comfortable 10/12 knts. Aquila is fitted with the latest safety and navigation equipment, 8 man and 6 man life rafts, lifejackets plus Furuno echo sounder/colour fish finder. All rods, tackle and bait is provided. The fish we catch change with the seasons throughout the year. Our main target species are: Coalfish, Cod, Ling, Pollack, Conger, Mackerel and Whiting from the wrecks, Winter Cod, Dogfish, Bream, Whiting, and Flatfish can be taken on the ground. Some of the more recent catches, and sightings off our Cornish coast, have included: Barracuda, Spanish Mackerel, Sunfish, even Tuna, all which are warm water species so you never know what you might catch or see coming from the depths. You can keep what you catch but we encourage everyone only to keep what they want to eat. Fish are a becoming a scarce resource and we do not want to conflict with the conservation measures in place to encourage recovery of fish stocks.
The skipper Chris is a well respected man in the area and is the skipper/owner of Aquila. Chris has been fishing off many of the marks off the Cornish South Coast for years. Chris says that "I promise that you and your friends will have a great day out with us. We will work as hard as we can to meet all your angling needs, we can't guarantee you will catch the biggest fish of the day nor fill the boat up, but I do promise both myself and my crew will work hard for you and your friends, ensuring both enjoyment on your day out on Aquila and maximize your chance of catching the fish of a lifetime"
